Coming out of one of the hottest and driest Augusts ever recorded in the region, many COPD patients are breathing a sigh of relief that the long days of staying indoors to avoid the harsh conditions that aggravate their symptoms are coming to an end.<\/p>\n
At the same time, other COPD patients are looking ahead, bracing for fall and the many allergens from weeds that come along with it, triggering their flare-ups. All around, it is a tough time of year for the more than 11 million people in the U.S. suffering from COPD, according to the American Lung Association.<\/p>\n
